Mississippi Queen's 30th Anniversary
This summer, your presence is requested on the river as we celebrate 30 years
of Steamboatin'® splendor on the magnificent Mississippi Queen®.
Today, three decades after this lovely lady made her premiere on the river, she
is still the center of attention wherever she goes. Come celebrate her past and
toast her future.
Joining us on these anniversary cruises will be some of your favorite
Mississippi Queen alumni performers. On our July 5 departure guests
include William "Happy" Sackett, who was responsible for the development of our
popular mock Big Band radio broadcasts. You'll also be entertained by Pamela
Dudley Post, who is remembered for her Reader's Digest Condensed Version of
Gone With the Wind. On our July 12 departure, you can meet Steamboatin'
Director Steve Spracklen, who has shared his lifelong passion for ragtime with
our guests since 1979. And finally, you'll be entertained on this cruise by
Charles "Chip" Saporiti, who has sung alongside Ginger Rogers, Tony Bennett,
Liza Minnelli and Frank Sinatra.
